I havn't seen any detailed posts inregards to reinstalling of rockers In what sequence of installation of rockers. Such as do you need to turn over motor for ea valve, loc tite, torque values, etc. Is it a given that you will hear quite a ruckus when first starting up after install is complete.

Put the rockers back on and tighten by hand. Tighten the ones at tdc (where intake and exhaust valve are closed). You can tell as the pushrods will sit lower. I believe the rocker bolts need to be torqued to 22 ft/lb. I did not put on locktite. Then rotate the engine untill you find some more that are at tdc

Thank goodness for good people who are willing to donate their time and knowledge. It could have been more like $1700 plus if I paid to get it done.
It was pleasure to help out. I'm glad you're back on the road again. I didn't get back in time to hear you guys fire it up. Ken said the compression was real good on that cylinder so no damage done.

That valve spring looks like a stock old school small block spring. The inner piece is not really a spring, but a damper since it is a flat piece and in there to keep harmonic vibrations from occuring. I have never seen them on an LS engine.

Well thats weird. Oh well, atleast it kept the valve from meeting the piston. Thanks for your valuable feedback on this Mike.

how much better are the 921s over the 918s? I can see there is a significant price difference of almost $500.
