Tinted Front Licence Plater Cover
Anyone know where I can buy a tinted front licences plate cover. In Ontario Canada a front license plate is the law.
Thanks

I do believe that a cover of any kind would be illegal as it is in almost all of the lower states that require plates, why invite trouble? I understand that the Canadian penalties are harsher.....

I found mine in a variety store in the automotive section. They are abundant even though they are illegal here in Oregon.
I'm just hoping that, if stopped, a LEO might show some leniency since I am at least dispaying one. Hopefully.
The smoke grey looks better with the Pewter color than a bare plate for me, so I'm taking my chances.

Uh...because like I said, I would have at least some hope a LEO will just tell me to remove the cover because at least I am displaying a plate as opposed to nothing at all. Perhaps a little leniency rather than nothing at all.

Here's my solution to Iowa requiring a front license plate. Buy a clear plate cover from any of the after-market vendors and paint the "border" to match your car's color. Paint it on the inside of the cover and you won't get any rock chips in the paint. Don't believe any Officer will give you any problems as long as the plate is readable. Had mine for 3 years and never even received a second look by the authorities

If you keep the "opening" big enough to see it all, it pretty much looks just like a bare plate. There might be a good looking compromise....I'll have to think about it.....or better yet develop a sound mathematic formula to achieve the best laminar flow design creating minimal drag.
