Post 19 doesn't tell me much. It says its been fine for ''years'' now which means it was not done with the system they're using on the covers now. My question is about the process currently used. If I get one and wax it a month from now is the chrome going to discolor? If windex is put on it whats going to happen? I know all of that would be fine if it was real chrome but what can I expect from a look a like chrome? I'm wanting this and several other parts I've seen on their site but I want to know how durable this stuff is before I drop $800+ on chrome that won't last.

We've had these on customer's cars for over a year, some nearly 2 years and they look like new.
Windex will not hurt the finish at all. Wax will not hurt the finish at all. If you get it and don't like it, simply send it back for a full refund.

Ok. Thanks. I may give one a try and go from there with the other parts I was interested in. I must have misunderstood your original post and the answer to my first question. You said you guys just brought the chroming in house and that this was a new process. So this is the same system that has been used for the last 2 years or something new? If its something brand new the durability of the ones from a year or 2 ago is not relevant and that was the reason for my question. Also on here you state that it will "fit LS1, LS6 not fast" but on your site it says WILL NOT fit C5 Z06. Which info is correct? Am I reading something wrong?
