[Z06] Why no Pewter?

Why no Pewter?
I was seriously thinking about ordering a 2002 ZO6 rather than waiting for a 2003- until I checked out the available colors. I was dead set on Pewter. According to the color options I saw on the internet and by a large dealer in NJ, Pewter is only available on the Coupe and Convertible, not the ZO6. I just don't get it!!! Why not? :confused:

I don't think GM sees Pewter as a true "sports car" color. Since they already have the Quick Silver (which is more of a true sports car color IMO), they probably figured not to do it.
If you look at any classic sports car line, the basic colors where usually what the Z is available in: red, black, silver, yellow and then they added the Electon Blue onto that. In 01, white was offered, but I don't think it sold that well, so it was dropped for the blue.

Hey i wanted a Mag red/Tan they dont do that either.. they dont even do a Torch/Tan... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

It's a shame, because the Pewter really looks great on the hardtop bodystyle.
