Premium cars should and usually do sell for premium prices. And that is good thing.

I agree that pristine, unmodified low mileage C5s are becoming harder and harder to find, and as a result they are holding their value very well. In fact a strong C5 can bring higher prices than an average early C6. I'm not knocking C6s here, because I have both. But the reality is the pristine C5 is the harder to find of the two.

Last week I was offered $1000 more than I paid for my 03 coupe (35k miles) in January this year. Since I spent 3-months looking, not wanting to sell.

Default vert

Oh..so true....In most cases Low Miles= High Prices

Especially this time of year...and as you know...a good time to sell yours

But...no matter how much we want it..we can't have your cake and eat it to. As a vette owner since '68 as you say. actually this is not
a 'news flash' to you...
I bought My '01 vert with 28k 12/10 for what I thought was a good price.

FYI..Corvette Mike in Plymouth,Mass. generally has nice low milage mint
cars...but of course...you have to PAY

But again maybe because we have so many bottom feeders combing through our for sale section that it has forced the owners hand to post their vettes elsewhere and l can' really blame them.

This is the worst year since 2000 that the good vettes dried up.

Don't get me wrong there are a lot of C5's for sale but l wouldn't touch them because of condition, mods or mileage.

I justed picked up (two days ago) an 04 Z with the Z16 option package with 3,447 on the clock. Still had the original plastic from the factory on the floorboard!!!!!

So my slightly modded 2000 coupe with 8300 miles should bring a nice price...I may have to consider selling it......

This seems to be the crazy time of the year for vettes that are in pristine condition with low miles. In my area l'm a little too slow to respond to gems for sale!

And being that my 02 is my perfect vette it will have to due until l decide to just sell it and then pick up a vert.

Corvette Mikes does have awesome vettes but a little too rich for my blood.

I did say you would have to pay at Mike's...My grandfather used to say
Things that are cheap are seldom good...and Things that are good are seldom cheap...That said...if you have the time...And...wait out the summer season....you should be able to find a mint car at a perhaps better than what most feel is a fair price....right now...in season as they say in Florida...the sky is the limit for a car your looking for.
JMHO..Good Huntin..!
