Painting Rotor Hats

I just purchased new rotors that are Zinc Dischromate plated, do you still need to paint the rotor hats to prevent rust?

Not if the hats are well coated..........or not until the coating fails. Mine ate over three years old and still doing fine.

No, the zinc will keep it from rusting.
