Thanks Mike! Cold one at Carlise is getting closer...!
I hope that means you'll be attending Carlisle this year! I'll have my car there again with the Sun Guns to show. Everyone is welcome to come by and see them. Booth # IB-20, 21, 22. And yes, there will plenty of cold beverages on hand.

Are the shrouds just plastic that will cover behind the projectors or will they have a lens to protect the projectors?

I'm hoping (though not able to purchase atm) that these will have a lens, rather than the naked look. They look great don't get me wrong, but if there was a lens it would just polish off this mod making it look that much more classy.

I disagree and i'm pretty sure a lens isn't in the plans.

I don't think a lens is in the plans either. I personally don't care if they have one or not. I think with the turtle necks on the shrouds, they'll be fine naked.

Yea if we can just adjust them where we want and put the shroud on and leave it alone im good with that. Not like it would be hard to remove the shroud to make adjustments if needed. As soon as we get the lightst i'll try to get on it asap. My manufacturer is willing to expedite this for us as wekll, so from start to finish it could be 6-8 weeks for the shrouds.

There is no lens in the works and one is not needed for these projectors.

We should have a GP set up soon. We're just crunching numbers with all of the parts needed.

Was discussed in the design phase. For one thing, it would double the work (same as designing and moulding the shroud, just another part) and would insert another interface point (where the lenses have to mate up with the shrouds) narrowing manufacturing tolerances. And it would also insert attacment point design work.

It was also a fair consensus that liked the open look (author included )

If its any consolation, the projectors have glass lenses, which are less prone to scratching than a lexan lense over the entire assembly would be.

...and would add to the cost.
As Jistari says, we discussed it. It would also add to the delivery time...
Could be more of a up-grade (and nocturnally aero-dynamic) option in the future...? Cost was JW and my main concern.

Pagani doesn't need polycarb lens so neither do we. Personally, I like without.

Hey Jhonathan, last July you made the following prediction:

4. We're still shooting for a high $700 price tag with 55 watt HID kits.

How bout you give us first GP'ers a deal; we'll show the lights to the Corvette world and they will beat a path to your door?

The problem with that is you won't be the first people to have them

That'd be awesome. God only knows how many people I talk to every week about the mods on my car. But I doubt that kind of deal is going to happen. Lol

I'm even buying new rims and tires so my Vette is worthy of these lights.
