It's a car. I park at available spots. If there is a spot between two nice cars I'll park there. Don't park in the back 40, there is always some a**hole in a POS pickup that will park right beside you.
as far away as I can. I enjoy the walk and I like to keep my distance. of course half the time someone ends up parking next to me anyway just to upset me.
As far away as possible, although lately also in the shade if I can find some. I can always use the exercise. Additionally, the only kind of valet I use is my Window Valet.
at the end of a row of cars -- leaving a few spaces but Not out so far as to be conspicuous... trying for a space that is next to a curb or island leaving only one side exposed -- and letting me move as far from the next space as possible.
That's a great way to go about it! i will do the same if it's available.
I think you invite the A$$hat's to park right on top of your car when you are way out in the back 40.
Better to just park with the masses. The Vette won't be so obvious to the haters....

That brings up the question, what would any of you do if some azz parked so close to the drivers door you couldn't get in?, would you pop the roof if available and climb in, (try) and climb over the center console, or call the cops and a tow truck?
The Corvette is such a small car, so why do you need two spaces for it?
I never park in 2 spaces but a corvette is a WIDE car. Big (wide} guys like
me with bad knees need to open the door pretty wide to get in. Im not worried about my car getting dinged Im worried about me being able to get in without hitting another car. I dont have this problem with my large 4 door sedan.

My wife keeps telling I am looking for trouble parking out on the back 40 and then taking up 2 spots. Perhaps so, but knock on wood, no one has bothered my ride.
I need to clarify that when I go to work, I park close to the door, since I know everyone who parks in the same area. However, when I go to the mall, theater, gym, or Home Depot, I normally take my second car. When the family heads out, together, we take the wife's vehicle.
Really depends on where I am going and for how long I am there. If I go to Walmart for ANY amount of time I park either at the front where only one another car can be parked next to you or at the very back. If I go to somewhere that is small like Starbucks then I park close to the door if I can.

Me too, i would rather take my chances with one bad person than the whole parking lot of idiot drivers, you have less chance of getting hit in the back lot also!
as close I can get to the place I am going... in plain view of others. I will park were it feels right. usually on a protected end. IN the last 20 years I have been parking this way and Ive yet to get one single ding... Never park next to a 2 door car, never park on the down hill side of another car. I try to get as far away from the driver's side line so any car coming or going from that spot cant reach me if they open their door.
When you park out in the boonies you run the risk of becoming the target of kids or jealous Aholes willing to do damage to prove to you that your precious Corvette is just another car.
You park that way and you look like your car is special. take up two parking places and you are just asking for trouble.. do that out in the boonies where cowards feel they can get their message to you without fear of being on camera, or under the eyes of any foot traffic. Making your car appear to be special pisses off a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. If you see photos of my car you know that I take good care of it... but my Parking philosophy is different from others and my style works very well for me.

I once parallel parked in downtown Portland, OR where the curb was too high and I couldn't open my driver's door. Popped the hatch and shimmied out the back.
I have to say though, it's a lot easier to do this since I'm 23 than it would be if I was 63.
