At work all others park in the front parking lot. I have mine own place at the loading dock in front of bay #3. If someone else parks there security will track them down.

I voted other. I always try to park on the end so I can overlap towards the end or at least close to the curb.

Never had any dings from parking...the reason is that I have never parked my Vette...I just keep riding around endlessly

I try to park in an "end" spot, that way only one car will be able to pull beside me and reduce chances of the door hits

The closest area with multiple spots, is what I go for. If an end space is available that is preferred. If its a restaurant or fast food place, then I try for a spot where I can see the car while I'm there. At stores, that simply doesn't work.

My wife makes fun of me too. I park so far away we have to get where we are going the day before to be on time.. It doesn't matter what I drive, I always park in the land Far Far Away, even my company work truck.

When you park out in the boonies you run the risk of becoming the target of kids or jealous Aholes willing to do damage to prove to you that your precious Corvette is just another car.

You park that way and you look like your car is special. take up two parking places and you are just asking for trouble.. do that out in the boonies where cowards feel they can get their message to you without fear of being on camera, or under the eyes of any foot traffic. Making your car appear to be special pisses off a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. If you see photos of my car you know that I take good care of it... but my Parking philosophy is different from others and my style works very well for me.

Absolutely...well said ET

Default Kids and cowards

Ive seen more times than not, a car parked in the boonies, gets abused by kids wanting to be kids or jealous adults acting like cowards.. Ive seen cars; egged, lit cigarettes,
lots of soda, beer cans, soda cans, keyed, Things thrown from a moving car etc. Ive also heard people say things like, " look at that Ahole taking up two parking slots", or parking out in the boonies, do they think their car is special???.. I have heard lots of talk, but its mostly talk, but with that type of thinking , it only takes one of the hundreds of pissed of or jealous people to make your choice of parking spots something to reconsider. In ten years on this forum Ive seen many stories here about people's car being vandalized because they parked in one of these type of spots. Continue doing that and sooner or later , someone will get you. Once that happens, you'll never do it again.

Park in a garage and since there no assigned spots I choose a spot on the end where there can be a car only on one side. The other side has a yellow striped border about 4 ft wide, then a short border then the wall. I can park close to the border which leaves a big space on the passenger side and I can still swing my door wide open without hitting the wall. About as good as you can do in this employee parking structure.

Mine's a daily driver. And in Los Angeles often times I don't have a choice where to park. But I usually try to find a spot next to an end or curb so that someone is only parking on one side of me and not both. If that spot is up front or in the back I don't care. Otherwise I usually will park in the middle or towards the back. I hate parking up front if it's between other cars just because it's more likely to have traffic, both people with carts and cars, go by it. But I'm not so **** that it has to be in the very back every time. As mentioned, it's a daily driver and it's go it's share of scratches and wear and tare that I'm not so worried about it anymore.

Handicap spots are abused by people who don't deserve them and those people take up the handicap spots for people that actually do need them.

Seems like everyone has a handicap sticker and 95% are not legit. People just don't have any self respect. And if you drive a vette you are without a doubt not handicap!

Usually when I come back to the car a monster truck is parked next to it. Regardless of where I park you can guarantee some POS will be parked next to it. It must be some kind of game

While I agree with you to some extent, I do not think the abuse is wide spread... of course they will always be abusers.. But because a person does not appear to be handicapped don't mean they aren't. Many people with bad hearts, or lung disease get a legal handicapped badge. but people look at their gate and say Oh thats not a handicapped person..

The Vette doesn't go to stores ... that's what the RAV4 is for.
