Default True flush rear side markers

Ever since I did the one piece rear clip I've thought the side markers really stuck out like a sore thumb.

So, I took them off...

Then I cut out the back of the recess

Sanded the edge of the lens in prep for some adhesive

Installed the lens with some 3M plastic repair adhesive and sanded it flush with the body panel

Shot a little primer just to see how it was looking

That's all for tonight

Nice job Gary, I did the exact same thing, as well as the 3rd light and the license plate, in paint shop now....

why doesn't the aftermarket have plug-n-play lenses for these lights? i've seen products for the rear sides but they usually involve cutting or gluing something! whats the problem? f bodies have smoked or clear for every light on them, c5s have every light on the car except the rear sides available. i don't get it.
i know, nightshade spray paint, but i'm not doing that. it's not the same.
