Default Turn signal bulbs

I am replacing turn signal bulbs like crazy in my 98 Coupe. I have had both assemblies replaced and I am still replacing bulbs every couple hundred miles. Is it the LOUSY PA highways rattling the daylights out of them? I do think IEDs are being placed every 200 yards on our roads.

you probably have a crack in your lens. Water is breaking the bulbs. It comes from too much heat. You can seal it, using windshield sealer.

I believe he said he already replaced the housings and still blows bulbs.

I thought he might have meant just the bulb socket housings.

Hmm usually it's the cracked housings, but you already replaced those.

How do the sockets look? What kind of bulbs are you using?

If the housings are sound the sockets must be corroded.

You could try pulling the A2 fuse to kill the DRLs and see if they last longer. With no DRLs the bulbs are only acting as turn signals so the thermal load is less.
