Shell is the only company in Canada that has no ethanol in their gas.... everyone else is 10% or more... I use Shell 91 only when I can't get any 94..... I notice that it pings a bit less than other brands of 91... and goes a little further per tank too due to the lack of ethanol...

Can't speak for Canada, but around here, Chevron gas is the one that smells like a fart (sulfur). Shell V-power is much better here. And I've been using V-power for 2 years on a 97 with no gas gauge issues. Whatever additive they use works as well if not better than Techron.

YEP! A few Petro Cannibus stations in Burlington/Oakville have 94, but there's none in Hamilton!!! All the Sunocos that turned Husky only have 91.........

Been using Shell since I bought my new FRC in '99 & haven't had any problems. I do put in Techron once in a while. Lived in Houston, Tx & didn't have any Ethanol in the gas & no problems with the Shell in Illinois with the 10% Ethanol. Enjoy your ride!

I had this discussion with my tuner a while back. I was experiencing knocking with Shell gas and he said to me the following:
"The more additives and detergents that Shell adds to their gas, the lower the octane rating goes."
I started to get away from Shell and Using strictly Chevron and i haven't had an issue with knocking since. I am also running 28* of timing.
