This is the closest motel to the museum. Cheapest too, we paid $49 in June and got a free so-so continental breakfast. Not exactly the fanciest place around, but 100 feet from the museum entrance.

I booked a room at the same hotel through Orbitz.com. I'll be arriving at BG tomorrow evening, touring the plant and the museum on Wed, and heading to KC, via Warrensburg, on Thursday.

I went there for the first time in July. Stayed at the Bryce Inn, about 10 miles north on I-65, at a little town called Smith's Grove. $55 per night -- nice folks (the owner has a C2 -- and they cater to the Corvette crowd. A club from Michigan makes a trip to Bowling Green every year and takes over the entire hotel. Smiths Grove is tiny, but has this great little restaurant called Mama Helen's -- just wonderful Southern cooking. These are just my suggestions. The museum is wonderful, but the plant tour is an absolute do-not-miss! Have fun and enjoy every minute!
