The original size being 295/35/18, how wide can you go in the rear?

If your including stock wheels of 18x10.5 then i would say 315's are the widest you would want to go. The tire will Crown like hell when going to wide, and you would not benifit from the wider tire because you will be mostly riding on the center of the tire. Ive read alot of guys run 305 on the rear, maintain good wear and have good traction.

I've got 335/30/18s as my rears for autocross, mounted on 12 inch CCWs, running a 1/4 inch spacer. Yes, they stick out a bit. Car is lowered about half way on stock bolts.

315/35/18 Toyo TQ Drag Radials.

Car up in the air, it was NOT rubbing on the rear Z06 brake duct. It's got about a 1/4"-1/2" gap when the car is on the ground. I'm lowered all the way on stock bolts, and I have ZERO rubbing issues.

305's, anything wider will stick out past the fender and if you are too low, you may crack a quarter panel...

They are a good combo tire IMO. The sidewall is a little soft for spirited driving but once you get use to the initial roll over feeling as you go in to a corner too hot they're fine. I've only driven in the rain a few times with them but as long as you don't do anything stupid you'll be fine.

I've got 19x11" rear wheels, but these fit

Nitto Invos...325-30/19, same overall diameter as stock. No rubbing, no cutting of the ducts, and fully lowered on stock bolts.

That is interesting!!! I have 19x11.5" CCW 505a's and I was about to trade them down to 18's so I could run a 315/35/18 drag radial. How well do those stick for a street tire????

You might want to go ahead with your plan to trade for 18" ers, if you can't get a good DR in 19". Invos are a great street tire, but not for drag racing. They seem to like the twisties, and even a wet road better than straight ahead grip. There are several brands now making that size, though. You might want to check out.

Did you use these for street use? I’m considering buying them. As my r888 are coming to an end. Wondering if these are good for a summer
