Go easy on me. I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago, and this was my first time down the track with it. I only made one pass because the clutch started slipping (55k miles, likely the original clutch with no idea how the previous owner(s) drove the car). After a 2 hour drive to the track from Cape Coral, I didn't want to risk having a problem so I decided to be happy with the pass I made and park the car. I think with some seat time, and a C6Z clutch swap, I can dial in some pretty decent passes. So far I am impressed by these cars.

DA based on the weather data I could find from last night using a density altitude calculator puts it at 2079.

82 degrees
62% humidity
Barometer 30.04
Elevation 19ft

Edit: Found exact info for Bradenton Motorsports on 10/15/15 at 9:15PM

1416 feet.

So corrected for altitude, that equates to a 12.072 @ 116.252

Gotta throw a clutch in the car and go on a better night and start chasing the record

Thanks. I almost feel like us '01 guys should have a separate list, at least for bone stock, and CAI/DR because we are down 20rwhp on average from the 02-04 cars. Once you start modding obviously those differences disappear, but from gauging the times on the list, it puts me at #2 out of the '01 cars behind Ranger.

No need for a different list. Get a new clutch (stock) if you want to go ahead for that goal. I would suggest a better clutch and bolt ons ... And try to carry forward. Lots of help here on this forum ...

I would agree, but the difference in cam is the problem :/

As soon as you put a cam in the car, you are competing against monsters, and with my Cobra being my fast car, I don't want to take the Z that far.

Doing the labor to put a stock clutch in would be worth it if anyone actually gave a damn about the quickest 2001 Otherwise I'd probably just throw a centerforce in it, do the bolt ons I have planned for the future (long tubes, X pipe, tr228 cam, tune, etc) and just enjoy the car

I feel ya, you had a good run though no doubt. 120 is a good trap and 11.4 is faster then A LOT think. Most people don't realize how fast bottom 11's - 10's are, and how elusive they can be.... You got that sheit, always next season... I was hoping after that 10.8 pass to go back around and launch harder for a 10.5, but the line built up and it was getting late...
