It is depressing for most of us to realize our infirmities, but I am impressed by your objective assessment. Be sure to take advantage of any clinical trials that are available to you. There are some cutting-edge drugs that may be of use in your treatment. In addition, serious illness has a way of re-focusing our priorities and making our finite time more enjoyable. Take care, give thanks and SMILE!! :<)
I like what you had to say here........
Yes it is depressing to realize and yes it does make you re-focus your priorities......there comes a time when we as individuals decide that the "quantity" of our lives is not worth the sacrifice of the "quality" of that time. I know this first hand as I glance down that road every time I walk through the infusion center doors knowing what's to come. Sadly, too many people will never realize or truly understand this and reach for what makes them happy.
Mike, I don't know you, but you have every ounce of my respect for coming on here and saying goodbye. No two cancers or treatments are alike.......but I can tell you that the pain is beyond what anyone can comprehend and in that respect, those of us touched by this disease truly know what you're going through.
If you have the power and the will to keep on fighting, then you fight!!! I have no words to offer any comfort as I know there are none - it is something you have to make peace with yourself on.
I wish you peace, a reprieve from your pain, prayers for your family to get through this and strength to make the choices that are right for you. If you've experienced love.........you've had a good life.
God Of Love,
Ever Caring, Ever Strong,
Stand By Mike Who Is Sick,
Watch Over His Loved Ones,
While Providing Him With,
Your Healing, Strength, and Peace.
Thank You Lord.
Mike, this was a prayer I made up and gave to my family and friends when I was going through my cancer treatment. Don't know if you are looking into alternative treatments but they can really help. If you'd like to discuss PM me and we can talk. God Bless, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Gonna punch my pedal just for you on my ride home after work. I wish you and your family all the best and my prayers are with you during your tough battle. Good luck to you bro, Keep the faith!!
Mike,
I will pray for you and your family. Jesus is The Great Physician, Comforter and Savior. Call upon Him and He will guide and hold you during this terrible time. This life is but a starting point. Eternity with Him is the joy of our hope.
God Bless you,
Billy
