I think Vette Essentials tan with custom Fairway Leather Green trim would look killer. Not sure about a complete green interior though.

My '98 FG convertible has the Light Oak interior, whilst Black and Light Grey were also options. I think having a green interior would be overkill.
Interestingly, I have a few diecast models of Fairway Green convertibles, and one 1/18 scale (I believe it's a Bburago) has a green interior! Don't know why they would have made this model with an unavailable color interior, but they did. Considering the low number of cars actually built in this color, I'm somewhat surprised that model manufacturers would even bother producing some in this color.
A couple of tidbits about the FG color: it's the lowest production color for all sold-as-new C5s (Aztec Gold and Navy Blue weren't available to the public as being "orderable"). The color was discontinued due to poor sales (duh). Unless I'm mistaken, FG is also the lowest production color Green for any Corvette ever made.

I was just wondering if anyone had done it as I've been admiring the Fairway Green cars since I've just heard about them. Once I get a C5 this is in my top list of desired colors.
As far as astroturf in a car, I've actually been joking about getting some astroturf cut for the bed of my Caballero if i paint it green. That way I'd avoid any scratches if I put anything back there. I did hear of a prank where some guy who liked golf had a beater, so his friends glued astroturf all over it.
