Default Winter is upon us on the northest coast :(

Today in Dover Delaware we got 2 inches of the white stuff on the ground.

I knew winter was here for the past two weeks when it was 19degs. at night. They are now calling for 6+ inches on sunday night. I hope this is not a repeat of last winter.

How are you guys doing in VA, and MD I heard they got more snow then us?

I am glad that I got a quick ride yesterday a few around town trips then today it was a good wipe down with Z8 and it was put into its new home for a few weeks. My neighbor went to FL for the winter and they told me that I can park my vette in the garage so that my wife can put her car in ours.
Happy Holidays to everyone.

Drive safe out there. Seems like the first snow of the season brings out the drivers.

Default In England Too

We've had some severe weather here in England this year. It's very unusual for this time of the year. It melted a few days ago but I only chipped the last 2" of ice off the driveway yesterday. With strong Northerly winds it looks like we may be in for another spell. Maybe even a White Christmas. The Vette hasn't been out of the garage in weeks other than a quick wash.

Hope the snow's not too bad with you and Merry Christmas.

We've had a foot already in southern Ontario and places within a few miles have had twice that. That's more than we had all last winter. I'm glad we're heading to Florida for 2 months right after Christmas.

The northern end of Balt's Beltway was a mess yesterday p.m. with several accidents. Travel from Owings Mills to Towson at about 12:30 p.m. was treacherous, with a 3 car spin-out, etc.

The snow was only about an inch or so, but the combination of very cold temps and cars formed a layer of ice. MD & DC drivers are, for the most part, unskilled at driving in snow-ice. The Nike slogan should be "Just Slow Down" and maintain control of your vehicle. Of course, being the week before Christmas, many were out on the roads that normally would not be.

That's my report and I'm sticking with it! Merry Christmas,

Rickman

I really like the first picture. Do they put salt or use something else on the roads in England?

We feel your pain, not too much snow but very low temps for nearly a month now...

In Northern VA we got 2-3. I started to venture out, but with the traffic and the slipping, I bailed. It's cold here.

I think you were the only person NOT on the road yesterday. The problem was not enough snow to keep most people off the road. It would have been much better if we had gotten 6 inches more.

Here in Maryland it has been unusually cold, daytime in the 20's F and down to 15 F at night.

We had our first snowfall yesterday, about 2-3 inches. So my C5 was in the garage, but as soon as salt is gone my daily driver will be back in service !

Yep, that's why I bailed. I'm gonn'a get the lecture from the boss. I gotta do the DD thing in my vette. My daughter seems to own my other car. I started out and just got to slipp'n a bit too much. I figured I did not have the ability to avoid others if needed so, I bailed.

Ugh. I just saw the news from last night. They showed a crashed Black C4 which resulted in a fatality down in Georgia, or the Carolinas somewhere around that area. If you have to drive in the snow, please be extra vigilant.

So far on Long Island we have not had much snow, I hope it stays that way! Last year was a bitch, the Vette stayed in the garage from Dec through March and I'm not one to baby my Vette. As long as the roads are good and salt is not a problem I'll drive it. I find my car runs better if I drive it more often than not and besides I love to drive it as often as I can. Merrry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Don't know what you guys are complaining about. Syracuse NY has already set a record for the snowiest Dec. - over 70 inches.
