Default Speaker Grill Paint Match

Can anyone recommend a brand specific to the Corvette GM colors to use when painting the door speaker grills?

Per my previous threads, I'm toying with the idea of a mod (torch) red interior swap of the door panels, knee bolster and glovebox. I have a brand new, never installed drivers side mod (torch) red speaker grill and I just bought a slightly used passenger side mod (torch) red speaker grill. (Funny, but I never noticed that they were two different sizes)

Even though I cleaned up the slightly used passenger side grill, it still has some marks/scuffs that I can't get out so I thought I would shoot some paint over it to finish the appearance. I also plan to remove and replace the black felt on the inside of the grill.

I would like to match the OEM color exactly so I appreciate any leads as to which brand/vendor to use. SEM?

Thanks!

i've used paintscratch paint to match my shale interior before. It came out really good.

Try a mr. clean magic eraser (CAREFULLY, its abrasive)

Ok, here's a tip for ya. Do not use a glossy paint...if you look closely at any grill color, red or black, note the finish is flat, not a glossy look. I've seen gloss red on other member's cars and it looks wrong, even tacky....you should experiment with a couple reds til you get one close to Torch Red, which by the way, only comes in glossy in the spray can. Christian's pic above shows just how flat the tone should be....

I have the OEM torch red grills. I just need to touch one up so I'm looking for the best GM paint code option. I'm not changing the colors.

Doesn't exist....you would have to know who supplied the grills to GM.

I was hoping that if I had the GM Torch Red paint ID code, there is some manufacturer that can match it. I know Corvette America offers the GM paint however not in a rattle can. A lot of other vendors also offer matching GM paint for engine covers, FRCs, etc., so they had to use something.

I also know SEM has a GM match code, however I was hoping someone has already led the way and could provide some tips/advise. If not, I guess I will be the lab rat.

Hope this helps.

Let me know how it works out if you try it. I was planning on using it on my door panels come spring.
