Default Cold Air intake

I am new to the Corvette world, and will no doubt have many questions over time. I have purchased a 2001 Z06 recently, and am thinking of installing a cold air intake. I welcome anyones input into what may be the best for my money and performance wise. Thoughts?

There are many. A lot of folks like the Vara Ram. Before I went to forced induction, I had one. You'll also read that it's hit or miss that the check engine light will come on after having one installed(lean codes). Halltech also makes a very good unit.

Stay tuned for responses. Nice choice on the car.

I have had 3 different systems on my vette and liked the vararam the best. Here's a link to the one I'm selling as I am going FI.

My 02Z likes the combination of the Vararam+Power Duct+ Halltech honeycomb screen ( the 02Z's are un-screened from the facto).

IMO.....results & opinions vary.

I vote VARARAM...It is just an awesome intake and the throttle response and punch at highway speeds is unmatched for a CAI.

Since you ask for opinions on what is best for your money I would say, unless you are a very skilled driver, go to a good driving school and learn how to get all the performance you can out of your Vette is it is. Then, when you have the car mastered, you will know what you will want to do to get it to perform the way you want for the type of driving you will do.
