Its actually because it blocks a portion of your view just like things hanging from the rear view mirror.

Sorry no pics. No one seems to use the cup holder for its intended purpose. I've seen nitrous switch holder, a mp3 holder and a cell phone/GPS holder. Well I use mine as a cup holder - I removed the rubber thingy from the bottom and velcro'd a koozee cup holder into it. The raised sides of the koozee is just right to keep your drink cup from falling out. Got a "Callaway Corvettes" koozee in black so it fits just fine. Haven't spilled yet.

Well if its in the windshield it can block a little bit of your view. That is actually why I do not put it in the center and put it on the lowest part of the windshield by my drivers side A pillar, works great and doesnt block too much of your view.

WOW I like that! Is that a 'single piece' that snaps over the top or does it have a bottom under the screws?...

Default covers

bottom part with a lid that snaps into place after you have the screw in.

Do you happen to have a part number for those covers? They really look good.

Any clearance interference with trunk lid?

I heard that 220v could have a negative effect on the turbo encabulator.

As long as you have fuel injected brake lines AND make sure to follow the service manual procedure to a T on properly torquing the rotary girder..all will be fine.

I run 440V on my intake @ the track and 220 around town.

Good to know. I remember I didn't properly torque the rotary girder once and ended up having to replace the leaf spring bearing. But I got the chrome one to show off some bling.

Don't forget to adjust the coefficient of coupling between the reciprocating single gristle-pin oscillator and the baldersnatch tube.
