Im thinking about buying a set of dd thinspokes in 18x9.5 fr and 18x10.5 rr mounted and road force balanced to a set of 265 35 and 295 35 conti extreme DW's for 1850 shipped. These are reproductions and I'd like to know if anybody has had any issues with them? Thanks for your input.
I just put a set of OE wheels on that I purchased from JW Motoring. So far so good. I've been pleased. Get lots of positive comments. Chrome qlty seems good, but I can't speak to the longer term effects. I originally had them dynamically balanced, but had vibration at 60 mph and above. Went in for a Road Force balance and now it's smooth well into triple digits.
Mine are a 19/18 setup. Lowering the car a little is next on list.

Where did they place the weights after they did a road force balance. I have been considering the same deep dish wheels for my white '99 convertible, but was concerned with weight placement on the deep dish wheels.
chill99 what size and brand are your tires? Your car looks great. If I take the plunge I will be installing them on an 04 TR Z06.
Wheels are 19x10 & 18x9.5
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP - 285/35/19 & 245/40/18.
I chose the run flats due to road trips I take. Might want to consider something else for a Z06 depending on your driving habits. Plus you can get some nice tires for less if you go non-runflats.

With the original dynamic balance, all weights were on the very inside side of the wheel (couldn't see them). However, as mentioned, I had very noticable vibration. Went to a different place for the road force balance. When they did the balance, the said my wheels WERE BALANCED from a dynamic point of view, but the road force had them put the weights in different places. Long story short, now I have weights on the inside side of the wheel and right behind the spokes - you can see them plain as day, but zero vibration.
The road force machine is smart enough to split the weights so they can be place behind the spokes, but my spokes are too skinny for that to make any difference.
