Oh no! Not another BSM thread!
Should I take them off, or leave them on? Ok, to make things easier on you, I just shaved them. What I was bummed about is it's only a 2 beer project, one for each side. If you decide to tackle this project in the future, might I suggest a beer for each door, and one each for the front BSM's. Now, what to do with the old ones? Perhaps I will glue them on my Isuzu Trooper and thus, increase my gas mileage (aerodynamics, people!) Or maybe use them to help prop up my tomato plants. The possibilities are endless!

What color are they? I found a used set for my car but if I could avoid sanding and painting I would buy another set.

I'd bet on black, according to his profile.

I prefer a C5 with the BSM's OFF. So much so that I removed mine as well but i got a kick in da nutz when i removed the drivers side BSM. Seems the last owner had some touch up work done on the door and now I have a paint outline of the moulding in the center of the door.
So....It's either i put the BSM's back on or take it to a body shop.

They are black. Not too bad of shape since they were too low to do any good when they were on the car.

The ones I bought used are black also. Is this a sign about those who own black Corvettes? Mine is pewter metallic.

Pewter FTW.
Keep the BSM off.
