How many horses are no cat X-pipe worth vs. catted X-pipe on 425RWHP car?
I am sure it has been asked many times but I searched and can't find any information...
I live in NH and I can easily get away with not having cats. If it is worth some extra horses I will opt for the non catted x pipe when I buy my LG streets and X-pipe.
I also don't want stinky exhaust, but that is probably more a function of a good, precise, tune.

Cam overlap, and tuning are the most important factors in the stink equation. I think you'll be lucky to see much improvement in no cats/HF cats situation. I would guess -3 to +4 HP difference. It may actually dyno less. Not worth changing, assuming the cats are doing their job.

They are an emissions device that adds cost, weight, heat, and reduces power. But there are a lot of members in this section who have cats for whatever reason who will get all offended if you don't.

For some reason if you drive a minivan 30k miles a year you are okay but if you drive your corvette without cats 2000 miles a year you are a polluter and destroying the earth

I'm not a tree hugger, but can't understand why people would not use cats for anything less than a track car. 5 hp, 10 hp, 20#, so what? You'll never feel or see the difference, and your 2000 mile a year car will make a years worth of pollutants.
Non catted cars may not all stink of fuel, but you can definately tell the non catted cars when you drive behind them.
