Default Can you paint acrylic targa top ??

I want a matching targa top for my pewter c5.was looking for a already painted but so hard to find.. Can i take it to a body shop an paint it ???

I had a dark tint added to the clear when redoing my top. looks black from the outside & still allows light in.

If it were me I would look for a solid top and have it painted, That way you still have the glass top and the solid top would have the head liner.

I agree, and the head liner cuts down on road noise greatly.

Mr.Jack, if you don't mind I'll take a copy of that process. I already have body matched hard top but it weighs much more so this may be an alternative.

I agree. Get a solid top and have it repainted to your color. Two top Vettes are worth more. Also, a painted glass top has to lower the resale value of the Car. Painting a glass top is so "backyard".

Hey can I send it to me too?? I am tired of trying to find a reasonably priced hard top, also I'm tired of the sun cooking me in the summer, I want to pain mine

Do what I am planning this summer, vinyl wrap my old cracked worn top in carbon fiber wrap.. But I also have a black vette, I think it will look cool. good luck.

i wrapped mine clear one in black gloss Oracal 970, only 40 bucks & beer, one day ill pul it back off and refinish the top.
