I have new monitors for my new repros wheels and they don't want to fit. Can't get the threads started on the nut. Am I missing something? It's like the indent where the rubber washer sets is too thick or something. I can't get one started but on the others I just can't get the threads to catch. The monitors were suppose to be a GM part number. HELP!

If push comes to shove, you can always install them with bands.

In some cases the wheels are not TPMS friendly, When I bought my wheels I had to ask to make sure the TPMS will fit the wheels, Most Repo wheels are TPMS friendly, What wheels are you using?

Jim - check with the vendor you bought the wheels from and make sure they were designed to accept the stock TPS. You might also want to verify that the TPS are actual GM products - should be a part number on them that you can check by going to the gmpartshouse.com web site and matching up the numbers. If all else fails, here might be an option:

Have not tried those adapters - just saying it might be an option. Obviously you would need to research and see if they are any good.

C6 Chrome, Front wheels came from Corvette Wheels and the rears came from JW Motoring. They both came from China.

I had C6 5 spoke chrome and they were sold by OE Performance and my sensors worked with out issue, I would think the ones that JW sold you should take the sensors.

Make sure the rubber seat is going into the wheel hole all the way.

It's in all the way. Really seems the area is too thick.

Yes the wheels we sold you work with all C5 TPMS.

I would try a shop that deals with TPMS. They should be able to assist you with these.

Thanks Johnathan, I do have the right sensors don't I? Can I be doing something wrong? I stick it through the hole and try to screw on the nut. What else is there?

Yep looks right. How easily does that black plastic compress? Maybe some firm pressure on it will help. The grooves inside the wheels are def. made for it. Hopefully they didn't change the sensors up a bit on us.

I will try again with a valve stem tool to pull on the valve stem while screwing on the nut.

I just wanted to update this in case anyone searches and finds this thread.

It turns out he was sent the wrong nuts for the TPMS. He reports everything is good to go now
