Idler bolt backing out?
anyone know why my idler pulley bolt keeps backing out? the one dead center of the power steering rack... has done it twice after top end work....first time didnt notice till after driving maybe 200 miles...put back in with locktite and new bolt...backed out again after about 200 miles....wondering if threads could be banged up or if maybe a spacer is missing? Is there a spacer there? Thanks

Also consider using a stud with nut and lockwasher. I like studs since when you tighten/stretch the the stud you don't actually turn/rotate against the threads in the base material. This is particulary good when the base material is aluminum.
