I like the idea of inserts... I have been looking around at other cars with them to find a set that would look right. I had 280z hood louvers in my rx7's hood, and wanted the ones from a jag xkr in my miata hood... I actually have a spare set of the z louvers in the basement, hmmm

Thanks guys. I know this is an old thread but trust me, I will be making another hood soon. However it will be G3 Composites out of FL making it for me. What does that mean, well for one it will be a really high quality hood, however the price will also reflect that. It wouldn't be a $600 carbon hood. Most likely in the $1K range, but it would be show quality top and bottom.

Im really leaning towards now cowl at all, just vented in the center (like the black one on the first page) Im sure we could make some rain trays as well, it kinda hinders air flow IMO but for the guys that really want them, it could be an option.
