removing center a/c vent
hopefully this post will actually have how to remove the center a/c vent.
The dash is out of the car but I still can't get the vent out. Someone help please.

i screwed up my center vent by breaking some of the vanes and hope you find out how to remove yours so i can order a replacement without going to a "specialist".

Looking at the manual it says thare are screws holding it in place
Air Outlet Replacement - Center
Removal Procedure
Remove the I/P upper trim pad.
Remove the screws retaining the air distribution duct to the underside of the upper trim pad.
Remove the air distribution duct.

I finally figured out that if you flip the dash over (which i was scared to do before b/c I didn't want to damage it) there are 4 or 5 screws that hold the vents to the vent outlets, once I removed those the center vent slid right out.
For anyone skeptical about pulling your dash out its really not that hard, there is a very good right up i used, you can find it by searching "dashpad removal" or heads up display install" in the tech section.

I have had my dash out so many times i can do it blindfolded ever need help with stuff like that again brutha get with me and we can get together and i can help you out

Glad you got it all figured out and the vent removed. Just hope I never have to do it.

Just don't break off a tab as I did yesterday, as they don't make these anymore. Ugh!!!
Maybe I need to go back to restoring 1st gen camaros. Heck, at least you can find anything you need for one of them!
