Yes correct. Standard AGM motorcycle battery on C5Z. I used lithium Iron "Anti Gravity 12 cell on Miata kit car previous to this.

New wheels arrived. No tire shop in Pittsburgh will touch Corvette wheels. Local dealer will mount the new wheels on the tires already on the car next Wednesday.

And for those that say black wheels are a fad, I had factory stock black wheels on my 1979 Z28.

I am NOT selling the stock wheels. Going to get them polished and get the curb rash repaired. Then going to mount them on my spare set of tires.

Black lugs too.
I am NOT selling these stock wheels.

Come on... That is a big city. You don't have any large wheel/tire chain stores there? Discount Tire? Pep Boys? NTB? There is nothing special about the wheels used on Corvettes.

I like the black with the red trim. Where do you get yours and what sizes di you order? I'm looking into the C6 Z06 replicas for my 2003 C5 base.

I took it to Pep boys and they did not want to work on it. Same with Firestone, Goodyear and Flynns.

They were all afraid of jacking it up. Too low for the lift and their low profile jacks are not low enough.

When I explained the jack plugs they looked at me like I was from Mars.

That is really weird. I am in the far west Chicago suburbs, and literally every shop will handle Vettes. In fact, my buddies and I all get our cars aligned at a local Firestone because their rack handles low cars. LOL!

I just did a quick Google search using "Pittsburgh custom wheels". Quite a few results showed up. I recommend calling some of the smaller mom and pop shops, as most deal with more "urban" cars wearing custom wheels. I promise you that a Latino-owned custom wheel shop can hook you up. There are a lot of them around Chicago, and they handle all kinds of vehicles. Most of the Chicago sports team players get their whips hooked up at these smaller shops. I am sure the guys driving Ferraris and Lambos around Pittsburgh do the same!

New wheels mounted and balanced by local NTB shop. $48 less than what the Chevy dealer wanted, friendlier people, quicker too!
IMHO, these wheels are sexier than socks on a rooster.

Chevrolet should have put black wheels on this model from the factory.

Stock wheels going to have curb rash repaired and repolished. Nice to have two separate sets of tires and wheels.

No the old wheels are not for sale.

My uncle and most of his family still lives there, (Olson's)...there home is right near Memorial park. Beautiful area, feels like home, rest of the family is up in La Crosse.
A little shot of town to make you a little home sick. ;-)

Replaced the old Lloyd's mats with new Lloyd's mats. I don't like emblems and logos everywhere, so I got some plain ones to replace the 50th Anniversary stitched ones. Got a new plain cabin divider to replace the 50th Anniversary stitched one. Anyone want them?

Also installed some billet pedal covers. Really freshens up the interior.

They are the ones sold by Southern Car Parts. They do seem to be very universal, though.

Also sold my CCW Wheels and put my OEM back on. Trying to decide which wheel next.
The Z is going in this morning and have the steering wheel finished with the air bag. Also having the headlights changed out to Radioflyer ACA Projectors lights. They will match the rest of my exterior lighting. Changed out the gas and brake pedals. Also just waiting on my new door panels.
