Perhaps with the entire "kit", it makes more sense, but by itself on a C5, it just doesn't "flow" for me. It looks like an add-on rather than part of the overall design. I think there is potential in that sort of mount but downsized in ways that would help it looks like part of the car.
Have to admit it looks better than the PARA-SAIL on this Viper.

Drifting
It seems to stand out pretty loud on a vert. However, I've seen it on other body styles (i.e., coupe) and... It works for me
