They don't always check PM's quick, but can be reached by phone.

They'll get you fixed up.

Anthony got back to me on Wed. He would like me to send the broken coilover back to LG to inspect. Supposedly my set is apart of the updated designs. I probably adjusted the fronts 3-4 times within the first 2 months of installing the set. Carefully following proper adjustment instructions in the process of setting my desired ride height

Hopefully this is an isolated case.

Hmmmm, that doesnt sound promising. I was very careful to adjust mine per the instructions as well. How low did you have your car?

Good luck getting all these coilover problems resolved. Sounds like LG is taking the right steps.

Anthony @ LG motorsports mentioned that they are in the process of moving shop to a new location. I'm assuming this issue will be somewhat delayed but justified.

I will keep everyone posted on the situation as we go along. I called and left a message with Bobby letting him know I am more than glad to chat about the short details of what happened.

Again this set I have is said to be the current design. It will be quite interesting to know exactly what went wrong once its carefully looked into.

thanks
Mike

Mike, does LG currently have your failed coil over? Im very curious to see what the outcome is. Mine are also set at just slightly lower than factory Z06 ride height. The idea that these could fail at any time is not a pleasant one.

Based on Anthony's description, I believe that this is the 'New' design. I recieved these in March 2012.

Gotchya....out of curiosity, have you had any problems with your coil overs? I know you've had them for a while now, and run a pretty low ride height

Fingers crossed.... no issues.

I mentioned the issue to Anthony years ago when I installed mine in my garage. I found out that turning the shock into the lower cup would turn the top bolt at the same time. My upper shock assembly came loose and separated on me in my garage when I was trying to shorten my shock length. Surprised me for sure. I'm may have been the first one to mention this to Anthony, which cause them to redesign... I'm not sure though. The re-design stopped the upper bolt from turning when your shortening the shock length.

I later made sure mine were screwed ALL the way up into the upper housing when I completed my install.

Thumbs up to LG. That's taking care of your customer. I am still interested in what happened with your old set. I want to pull the trigger on some coilovers but don't want to purchase anything that may have a design flaw. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Glad they got you hooked up with a new set Now I really wish they'd respond to the email I sent, or in some way address those of us who have them and would like to know why they keep failing
