Thanks all, some awesome stuff there... I'm getting the itch bad, but my budget is limited. Will probably start with plennum cover and go piece meal from there... Maybe a little paint too, but I'm not sure how durable that would be for a DD.

Thank you – I got the look I personally wanted for the car. When I went looking for a Corvette I wasn’t looking for a 600 HP fire breathing monster. I wanted a luxury Touring Sports car for my wife & I to get away in once in awhile. Just the two of us. My wife rode second seat on our motorcycles for 46 years; She is no longer able to do that. This Corvette was to fill that void& it has done so very well.

This 01 vert fit the spec 100%. I feel the engraving gives the car a touch of class. As far as I know it’s the only corvette with extensive engraving.

To complement the engraving & add to the luxury theme of the car I’m considering adding the much-hated wood grain kit to the interior dash. I think it will be a nice touch to this car. I don’t think the wood grain package is a plus on a race car.

I know a wood grain and engraving isn’t for everyone but it works for us. it’s my time & nickel – We enjoy the car.
Thanks again - Tom

For me, engine chrome is like make-up on women. Just enough and it looks great. Too much, and...it looks like a woman with too much makeup. Think Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister fame!

Many awesome engine bay bling examples here!

The question is,,,,,,,

Do you guys drive these cars or just show them? Either way is fine with me. Just wondering,,,,I bought mine to drive. I have put 7-10K per year on mine since I bought her.

My bay looks pretty good, (some CF, Chrome, Paint, caps, etc.) and is pretty clean,,,,, my engine has VRB2, Dynatech LT headers, X-Pipe, Corsa Catback, cam and tune,,,,82K on the clock,,,more miles tomorrow just cruising.

Some of your bays just look impossible to keep as clean as they are.

Don't get me wrong,,,I love seeing them!

Again, just wondering.

^^^

I drive mine roughly 7k miles or so a year I guess.... However I dont drive in the rain much and everytime I clean my car I do the whole job wipe the door sills, under the hood etc etc. If you dont let the dirt pile up it stays nice and its not hard to keep up
