I bought this SLP spoiler over a year ago from a forum member and just now found the time to paint it myself and get it installed. A big thanks goes to Alegro and 2 Grumpy for their assistance. Six hands and three sets of eyes really helps and we got it installed in no time at all. No gaps and it looks pretty dang good. The pics are not the greatest so don't bash me to bad on those.

Great job on the install. The SLP spoiler is the best choice for an add-on spoiler for the C5 imo.

Question: do you paint these then install them, or install and then paint (and blend in the fender and trunk lid and...)?

I did all the prep work and paint prior to the install. I purchase my paint from Autotouchup.com and it matchs up really well. I have used many of their products and todate they have delivered a perfect match.

Here are a pic of the first shots of color after the primer and sanding.
One last thing, I am very picky as to what I do and if isn't right I will not add or I will work on it until I get it right. My fellow forum buddies that know me will confirm what I just stated.

You can purchase the SLP Spoiler already painted from forum vendors in factory colors, I went this route & the color was spot on (TR)...

That is true, but I paid a fraction of what a vender will sell you one for, plus I like being a DYI guy. To me it gives it a personal touch in knowing you did it yourself. That's just me though. Others either don't have the time or the courage to tackle a project of this nature.
