Anyone hear of or deal with this outfit? What was your experience?

They have a lot of Vettes listed online . Do they also have a Webster location ?

Never mind i see your in NJ . So actually looking at the car would be after deposit or when it arrived shipped to you . It would have to be inspected by an independent inspection service before i bought something long distance .

I bought my 97 from them 4 years ago -- have had no problems related to the dealer (just the ones that most Vettes have anyway) -- I had the advantage of being local and seeing the car before the purchase though. There were mods on the car that they did not reveal but I saw in person (headers) . No real info available on the prior history of the cars - so inspection is critical. I think the whole deal is you get better prices than most places but run the risk of unknown problems - like any other ebay based buy.
Lots of Houston guys on the forum - if you have a car picked out, maybe one of us could check it out.

After seeing the amount of complaints, especially the BBB, I would not go near the place unless I lived there. There has got to be cars in my tristate area, NY, NJ, PA.
I'm over a month away from pulling the trigger, so there's no reason to get excited about a particular car. Right now it's a scouting expedition.

agreed.. I forgot to post that I was in and out in like 30 min (minus the test drive time), and I got to take it out by myself with no pesky salesman tagging along

From the BBB website:

"Please note that the company claims all cars they sell are sold 'As Is'. In the State of Texas the Lemon Law covers brand new cars only, not USED cars. If a car is sold "as is" the company has no obligation to repair any item on the car once it is sold."

Very important to know.

Every used car from a dealer has problems. Mine doesnt even lock. Its been like that for a few months now. I guess I can call to get it fix being I bought a 3 year 36000 mile warranty to go with it. If you buy a used car expect something. I would rather have something simple like locks than a bad oil pump.

My Brother and I have both purchased from Texas Direct Auto in Stafford, Texas. We both had pleasant experiences and would do business with them again. I also have a co-worker that purchased from them. He got a good car for a good price, but TDA had apparently acquired the vehicle from a dealer that had gone under. As a result, TDA could not get the title cleared in a reasonable amount of time. After 3 months they told him he could bring the car back. They did, however, make him whole!
Again, I have bought from them and would do it again! HTH

If BBB has a bad track record on a company with complains Buyer Beware..... Don't know year model and mileage on the car with a warranty....but if your holding paper on a warranty that is not backed by GM directly then your just holding paper....Check the backgrounds on these warranty operations and you will shrink and shudder from the infor....Buyer Beware is even more important..

Only 116 Complants for the last 12 months, for the size of that place I would say that's a good report.
Take it a step further and you would see that over 30 of them were resolved and quite a few more is just normal paper issues.

I have been there and I have to say, I was impressed. That place is huge and the selection is vast.

OP: Good Luck with your search!

Well, I by no means have stock in the company, but I will always be the first to gripe about a dealership.. so i feel it is only fair that I sing their praises. Plus, I am a numbers guy. So here it goes. They have averaged a little over 2,000 units sold per month for the past 12 months.. so doing the math , that is a 99.6% approval.. or (for the pessimists) a .4% complaint ratio. My eBay feedback score is higher than that, but I do not do nearly that kind of volume . I did have an issue with having to re-sign some paperwork, but that was the lenders fault.
