Default LED Tail Lights, What do you see?

I just installed a set of new LED tails and something does not look right to me.

Does anyone else see it?

Here they are at regular exposure.

And now a little underexposed.

Only thing I see is maybe the far left one is slightly dimmer but that could just be the angle of the pics

First thing that I noticed as well. Loose ground maybe?

Besides the dim left light, I also noticed the number of LEDs across the top row is different between the four lights.

No halo? I agree with the fellas, the far left is a little dimmer than the rest. Can you post up pics at night for a better assesment?

Yeah...they are not even.

Looks like some of the individual LED's are missing or burned out.

It looks like you almost have a "reverse halo mod", meaning just the interior LED lights are on. Both the interior LED lights as well as the LED Halo on each lens should light up.

For reference, below is a pic of my halo LEDs. I do not have the Halo mod and the lighting arrangement stays the same, but is brighter when the brakes are applied.

This is what mine looked like when the brakes were applied. I do have the halo mod and the vendor did make it right by sending me a new one.

And a pic at night.

As others have noticed, I too see the light at the far left as being dimmer than the other three.

I am trying to resolve this issue now with the vendor that sold it to me.

Thanks to all that replied (except for one).

How come the Halo part doesn't seem lit? Or is it my eyes?

From the pics, it sure looks like the left outboard taillight is not as bright as the inboard one. Might be a defective taillight.

Nope, your eyes are fine. My point exactly - Post #10. His Halo rings are not lighting up.

These tail lights are modded. The halo only comes on when the headlights are turned on.

This brings me to my next question.

Are there different ways to perform the halo mod? Shouldn't both the halo and inner portion light up when you hit the brakes?

The "halo mod" I am familiar with has only the halo lighting up while driving and then the entire assembly lighting up when braking.

I have never seen your mod where the halo only lights up when the headlights are turned on.

Great,

Hopefully, George will see this thread and shed some light (pun intended) on my situation.

(George did not sell these lights to me but he is probably the most knowledgeable person on this forum when it comes to lighting.)

Someone call me?

From your original pictures, it looks like the driver's outer light is getting low power (or no power to the brake circuit) and you obviously have no halo ring.

If you want to send them to me, I can defiantly fix them (I collect spare parts from halos) Normally I charge $65 per light to troubleshoot and repair, but I'll fix all 4 of yours for $80 shipped and do the proper halo mod if you'd like.
