I've been using one bought at Harbor Freight for six years on my race car and Vette with excellent results. Cost-effective (under ten bucks when on sale), good quality, all the features of more expensive units, and recommended.

I use battery Tender's on both the harley and the vette.

I use a rag over the fender and I have the under hood light unpluged so no worry, it is easy and the connector is in the front by the openning.

I like the Ctek 3300, It is small, Durable and it works........ I believe this comes with a coard you can hook to the battery with a quick disconnect to drive the car.
Has options on it for different batterys and you can get different hook-ups cords, Very user friendly.

Easy to use and 0 problems. Same battery since 2003 and it is on the charger from November to May before going back on car.

harbor freight has a tender for about 5 bucks. it works great on all my cars, trucks, toy hauler, ATVs, and anything else with a battery, no need to pay all that money for a piece of equipment that is so minor in its function. i have about 8-10 in use at this time in my garage.... do get mislead on paying for all these overpriced tenders....jmo...

Glad you have good luck with your 5 buck tenders, But what kind of protection can they have built in for 5 bucks?

My battery is worth a lot more than 5 bucks, I don't mind spending the money for one that is proven with protection

Harbor Freight makes one that works and costs under $10.
You can pay more but why?

It is the best value in battery float chargers.

I've used a Battery Tender Jr. for several years and just plug it into the cigarette lighter socket. No wiring involved and the hood light is not an issue. The cord is long enough to wrap around the steering wheel reminding me not to back out of the garage with it hooked up.

I've been using one from Schumacker for two years now with no problems at all. Before then, my battery was always going dead if it sat for any length of time. Now, I know it will start every time I hit the key.
