Default 2002 z06 mallet hammerhead 475

I am new to the forum and looking for some help. I have the opportunity to get an 02 z06 mallet hammerhead 475 hp with 19900 miles. Car is red and black. What would be a fair price for this? I appreciate your feedback.

The Mallet package will add a little bit more money but I wouldn't add beyond a $1500 - $2000 premium over a similar regular Z06 if it were me.

Thanks for that reply, I have been looking and the prices seem all over the place. Do you think that 25K would be a good deal or just an okay price?

IMO, the asking price is not too bad. I am sure the Mallet price at the time of installation added quite a bit more than they are asking for it now. I may have over paid for my current 02 Z but it had 18k miles on it and I paid near what they are asking for the Mallet. Good luck with the purchase and keep us updated on how it goes.

For reference, my 02 Z.

Thanks for the replies so far. Any additional thoughts would be welcome as I have to try and decide by 10:00 a.m tomorrow.

Seems like a good deal to me if it comes with a detailed build sheet.

Do you all think that $30K would be to high. What about spring time, do these hold their value, or would a stock Z06 be a better deal?

It depends on what you're looking for. If you just want to buy a car and not really put any more money into it aside from routine maintenance then this might be the ride for you. But if you want to buy one that you can mod and really make your own, then you're better off getting a stock Z06 (or one with just simple bolt-on mods) for $5-10k cheaper.

FWIW, I bought my 2004 Z06 last year for $28k. It only had 11k miles on it, was bone-stock, and was pristine inside and out. If I could do it over again I'd probably find a cheaper one that had higher miles and/or was lightly modded.
