Anyone who who throws around the "Mid Life BS" is an IDIOT !
Best way to argue with an idiot - is to not argue - or that would make you a bigger idiot !
Just nod your head and walk (run / drive preferred) away !!!
Find some better people to spend your time with.
Act Like Clint Eastwood - Not Barney Fife

Mine was a mid life crisis and I am proud of my cars. I had colon cancer last year at age 39 and in my 39 years, I have never seen a brinks truck following a hearse to the grave. Why care what others think, waste of time and energy.
My motto is live for today and if you wait for the perfect time to buy something it will never happen. Maybe I am just crazy but I am sure I am preaching to the choir here.

On another note, when I bought my first, a C3 when I was in my 40's, people used the mid-life crisis line on me but, I would shut 'em up by telling them I bought it because I had a small....well, you know.

Only crisis would have been NOT to have a Corvette during my life. Wanted one ever since at age 10, I rode in the back of my A$$hole cousin's brand new and loaded 67 coupe. I love to remind him how much that car, that my Uncle GAVE him, would be worth it he had kept it!
The day my daughter signed a National Letter of Intent to play college soccer,,,,shopping started and then crisis averted!

To all the young guys who posted on this thread, congrats. I wish I had bought my first Vette while I was still single. I wanted one since I first saw a young guy in my neighborhood bring a brand new '62 home. I was 10-years-old. I waited till I was 56 to get my C5. Kids gone, had the cash, finally!

Except I'd only be 112.
What cracks me up more is the fact that people who know nothing about cars, and even those who do, think it cost me $20-30K and I must be really high paid.
What.....EVER!

Ain't that the truth. I bought my GF a mint, 20,000 mile, 03 S Type hit slightly in the front....her dream car. Got 7 grand in it done and it is like new. You say Jag and it's the same as Vette...they think you hit the lotto or robed a bank. Come on people, these are old cars out of warrantee and the prices reflect. But they are Sooo NEAT and if you can do your own work quite a bargain.

I like many of the others,,just had to wait till other family priorities were fulfilled!! Always have been a car, bike and golf nut!! NOW I have been able to get what I've always considered my favorite,,no crisis involved!!

I am on my second mid-life crisis at age 31. Stereotypes are for non-car enthusist. Car guys know why I always have a Vette in my garage. I am going to try and go mid engine and Italian for my real mid-life crisis.
