My pink slip came in the mail yesterday. Owners step inside.

I store mine in my glove box with my maintenance records, because in PA, the "Pink Slip" is just a carbon paper placeholder for the actual title, almost like a receipt of sale, which is in a deposit box at the bank.

for those of you that don't really know, in California the vehicle title was actually pink until the early 80's
that's where the term PINK SLIP originated....

Still looks pink to me. Trimmed in green and blue. I guess you could call it an off red, but it is pink still if you ask me.

but for the rest of the normal world, it's the dreaded "you're fired" notice. BTW in florida it's a light blue "title" to your car and mine is secured along with all the others in my safe.

When I read the title I thought the OP got laid off from work, After reading the threads I now know, well anyway I keep my title in my safe along with other important papers. Welcome to the club and good luck with your Vette. Sure is a good feeling.

my vehicle titles are somewhere in my house. right now i can't remember exactly where, but if i needed to find them i guess i could.
i'm not understanding why some of you protect your title in fire proof boxes or safe deposit boxes.
even if the title is destroyed it only costs a few bucks to get a new one.
