How to replace the gas cap with tether
Finally got around to getting the new gas cap with tether. Only took a little over a year to order.
How do you pull the connector pin out of the body. Is it as simple as pull hard, or does someone else have a different solution ?

I think I should have looked at it a little closer before I posted this question !!!! This was probably the easiest automotive fix I have ever done !!! I thought the pin on the tether went into the body and getting to the backside of it was going to be an issue
Total repair time............ maybe 30 seconds !!!!!!

Nice to find those repairs that end up being very simple to do.
