Do you have pics of what's actually done to the base of the seat to shave it an inch? I'm curious about any strength lost to all that meat disappearing. I'm 5'10" and it's pretty tight in the car with a helmet. You think a shaved seat would be just right or too much?

If headroom is tight for you now I would get the shaved base. There is no structural lose when shaving the base... only thing they do is shave the cushion.

Can you shoot me a PM w/ a quote for leather A4's. I'm 6'4" 230lbs, 36 inch waist...so whatever combination works best for my size. Shipping would be to Dallas, GA.
Thanks!
Thanks!

ok after doing some research it seems they fit in the c6 barely but not the c5. Can you PM me as well on the A4's in leather with double locking sliders and lumbar support. Shipping would be to 19808. I dont see it anywhere but if they do offer red double stitching and alacantara centers PM me that as well.

This has probably already been thought of somewhere but...
On the stock C5 memory rails the A4 seats don't, by chance, sit about an inch too high? (an inch that could be made up for by the tall driver option)
Thanks!

They don't
There is no way it is possible to install the A4s on the stock rails...

A4 v FX1(not pro) for C5Z
I am 5'11,190 but long waisted so I sit like 6'2....I want a seat that won't kill me driving to the track but will keep me from sliding. I also need a slider on the driver. I would like to be able to use my stock belts around town and harness at the track.....so what do you advise?

It's time
My 2000 FRC driver's seat is torn. Looks like $450 is the cost of new leathers, might as well just upgrade the seats. Those A4 suedes look quite tempting. I'm in the bay area, what would I be looking at out the door for a set installed?

IMO, it's not worth it to resurface the stock seats... you can probably sell your stock seats for $300-$900 depending on the condition which would help take some of the sting out of the new seats. Do you track the car at all? how tall are you? Do you want lumbar or heated seats?

I'm 5'10 but my son is 6'3. We do not track the car (occasional autocross). Heated seats are important to me. How are the seats w/o the lumbar, what's the additional cost?

Who wants a set of one of the best upgrades out for the Vette? Time to get rid of those non supportive stock seats for some nice Corbeaus that will keep you in place while driving

Finally decided to replace the stock seats for something better and placed my order this afternoon for the A4's. I think these will be a happy medium for street and autox but still have my FX1 for road course use.

Best and 1st upgrade any Vette owner should be making on their car! Get rid of the non-supportive crappy stock seats and replace them with a seat of nice Corbeau's for your Vette. Here are the seats that will fit each year
C3-A4 & FX1 Pro Seats
C4-A4 & FX1 Pro Seats
C5-A4 & FX1 Pro Seats
C6-A4, LG1, CR1, and FX1 Pro Seats

for a convertible?
I have a 98 convertible and I really want new seats...but I need to be able to move the seats forward to get stuff out of the cubbies behind the seats... Is this still easy enough to do with these seats?
