Honestly, I always say to each their own. I've enjoyed the looks of my C5 for 13 years now and never had a problem with how she looks or with others who do lower their cars. Now I'm at the point where I see my wife's Camaro SS and my SS sedan and I like how the wheels fill in the space better. Heck even the C6 and C7 fill in the wheel wells better.. so I'll go with 18/19s and decide if I need to lower her. If I do lower her it will be with the stock bolts so she won't be that much lower to worry about my driveway or the roads around here.

Dude, my car is an index, and middle finger from the ground in front, and I drive the **** outta my Vette; never had any serious problems. You are squarely the minority here if you think lowering is dumb.

You can't deny. These. Cars. Just. Look. Dead. SEXY lowered.

For your visual comparison...

Me? Yes, they are functional, I cut the wheel well liners out and everything. There is a depth to the real ones that you just don't get out of the stick on ones, which is what makes them easy to spot.

ah, good! Then both of you have pretty bad cars. I'm torn to leave mine the way it is or get a carbon fiber lip and slam it down or something... it has a nice look though currently.

I think you should put some 'side splitters' on you car to balance the low look. What do you think?
I would rip that front valance off on every driveway.

I know what you mean, I have to avoid most parking lots with speed bumps, I have the protection rails underneath but I believe side splitters would create even more clearance issues, I suppose I could raise it up by adjusting the coilovers but I think I'll just leave it and drive my DD cars instead lol...

I think you should get the matching side splitters... it's not like you're going over speed bumps anyway

Last weekend I installed some longer ARP studs on the front hubs to run my old 3/8" spacers and the rear is running 1" adapters. Lowered it and installed some OEM silver C6 wheels. It's lowered all the way on stock bolts. Index & middle finger gap in the front, slightly more in the rear.

In the rear I initially went to longer bolts, but was too low. Rear looked sick, but it rode like a donkey so put the stock bolts back in and adjusted accordingly. I wanted to remove the front bolts, but after how the rear rode I couldn't bring myself to do it.
