Default 2002 Z06 after $ 14K of body damage repair Photos

Well, I got my Z06 back today after $ 14000 of repairs after it was run into on January 6. The car looks better than when it went in for repairs. Corvettes of Auburn did the repairs and they painted the rear half of the car. The problem was their paint has no orange peel in it. It is as smooth as glass. They then buffed the entire front of the car to make it look as good as what they painted. Everything looks great.

The shop pictures are hard to look at! I mean, that had to hurt to see your car that way. But what a beautiful job they did on the repair and the paint! Looks great!

May it never happen again.

Is it just my eyes, or is the door/ rear quarter gap too wide?

Compare it with the other side.

Car looks great !

I'm sure it feels good to have your car back. I would like to see some closer shots of the paint. It looks like they did a good job. Best way to check a paint job is under some real good fluorecent lights. They show all/any issues.

Close ups of paint under fluorescent lights. The first two pictures were with the fluorescent lights and the camera flash. The next three were with no flash.

Looks like a good job to me. I'd bet it's better than GM built it since I never seen anything they made that was perfect.

BTW, Remind me never take a Corvette job...actually I already know that. Way back when I went to tech school (1971) the paint instructor used to work at a Chevy dealer doing their Vettes. He said guys would come in and lay on creepers to look for flaws. Said he didn't miss the agravation. You guys are a tough crowd.

Thanks for the follow up and glad you are satisfied. That's all that really matters.

Beautiful and it looks like they did a great job. I planned to stop by the shop and check it out, but never made it. Glad you got her back.
