Default Taking her out of winter storage

Ok, i cant take it. I put my car in storage in mid December... we've had an exceptionally mild winter here in the mid Atlantic...

im getting taking my vert out of storage tomorrow.. so if we have a blizzard... its my fault.

any post-winter-storage recommendations before i re-install the battery and fire her up?

Man, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one thinking the same thing. Very unusual weather in Maryland lately. I'm trying to hold off bringing it back out until I can put my new rims on, but it doesn't help seeing so many Vette's on the road on nice days. I say bring it out....at least tomorrow since it's going to be close to 70.

BTW I'm in Bowie also

Default Oh Yeah !

Up here the same thing, so Cinderella is coming out of sleep early this year. It's pretty much close to spring for winter to roar back at us.

No offense intended my friend, but I just do not get the storage thing this far south. I drove to work today for the seventh time this month with the targa out. Tomorrow will be 75 here and as you are only two hours north of me, I am sure you will enjoy the same. Advice?...don't put it up. You don't have to drive it every day, but keep it ready for 50+ degree days...life is short and we have very warm winters here it seems about half the time. Enjoy!

I'm considering bringing her home (only a mile away), but while the weather here overall has been mild, I may just hold off another month. I only have a one car garage with a concrete pad next to it. I'd feel bad kicking out my SUV too soon.

Check the air in the tires and then start her up. Hope you have a great day tomorrow and a fun time driving the car.

I don't put mine to sleep but I do allow it to take cat naps. Bad weather, it stays put up, good weather it stays at the ready.

Oh sorry, just check all the fluids, air in tires as Jack said, look around the engine bay for any obvious signs of abnormalities,

I'm in the western part of the People's Republic of New York and I could have actually kept the Z06 out all season. I've only had to use my snow blower once and only had to shovel the driveway twice. Lake Erie won't even freeze this year. I've never seen anything like it around here. I picked a hellava year to take up skiing again.

No offense and I'm sure you said it in jest but I hate that common cliche. If I were to steal a car I would drive it normally or even slower to avoid detection.

Same here.

It has been pretty nice here this winter too, but if there is even a chance of ice it seems like they dump more salt on the roads. So I have had to wait for rains to wash it off then drive it a few days until they salt it again.

I'm ready for spring!

Me too. I've driven mine just about every week during this mild Northeast (winter)?

I'm in Lancaster, PA and I've been feeling the urge to get mine out for a nice drive as well. Today I actually pulled mine out of the garage, let it idle a little in the driveway, and took it around the block. Took her up to a wild 25MPH and pulled her back in the garage. I can't wait for spring!

Here in North central Pa they put the crap on the roads if it looks like snow. Salt and the concrete sand they use stay on the roads all winter. Takes about 4-5 rains to get rid of it all in the spring.
