Yep...CCA was then vendor I could not think of after several beers last evening ;-)
The stainless letters fit the indents perfectly front and back. Nice high polish look, and very secure!! Many compliements on this product.
Thanks CCA....and sorry for the loss of memory!

I believe they have a 3-M type backing. I cleaned the indents with alcohol. Then sprayed a very light mist of distilled water. Then peeled off the backing and got them lined up perfectly. They are very securely attached after install, but can be removed without damage to paint. However, the letter will most likely bend upon removal. No glue was required. Very easy to install and look great. I have not had the chrome, but I assume they use the same mounting system with 3-M type tape. I am not sure if the chrome ones are metal like the stainless or plastic??? Also the stainless ones are flush with the rear bumper, i am not sure if the chrome ones stick out from the bumper a bit...
Good Luck!

CAU C6 Reflective Red Front & Rear Lettering in "CORVETTE" Letters $36.00
Somebody should let this vendor know that his pictures are of a C5 not a C6.

I'm thinking he's trying to say C6 pictures are being developed.

I do somewhat myself, but the rearend looks cheesier and cheap without them. I was torn on getting any because I don't typically like stick on stuff, but I just can't take the rearend any longer.

I love the rear view of my car....and the side view. The front view is the weakest if you ask me. But adding chrome doesn't help. Chrome doesn't belong on a car made after 1975. To me adding chrome is like adding lambo doors, 24" rims, or whatever. Just not my thing. But I almost always prefer a stock appearing car.

I also have a custom made front plate frame that has corvette in red so I stayed with that. It made it easier.

Well trying not to sound like I am dissing other people's cars, I wouldn't put chrome or SS on mine either. That's why I went with hologram red so it blends in with the car but hides that hideous corvette that looks like they rolled them off the line forgetting to put the name on them

If I were going to do it, I would go with black. Mine car came with black letters in the trunk actually, I just decided I don't want to apply them. As I said before I prefer the stock look.
It doesn't look unfinished to me. Never even entered my mind.

In the end, I would just do whatever you like. Some people will like it, some won't. Lots of people think Vettes are cheesy, period. So modify how you like the car, not to please others.

I'll try it and if I don't like it I'll pull em off. When I get them I'll post it here and see what others think.

i would say stainless on a darker colored car and titanium black mirror finish for a lighter colored car. i put the titanium black on my MY z and stainless on my monterey red c6 and both look sweet...do a google search for ss inserts

So to sum up...once these letters are installed, they aren't coming off unless you want them off!

FYI that I just sacrificed this set by removing them in preparation of having my new Caravaggio spoiler prepped, painted installed as well as my lower rear fascia painted. I'm having the entire rear fascia cleared over so I had to remove the letters. They were a bitch to remove due to the strong adhesive and promo pen I originally used and the body shop will need to remove some of the left over adhesive inside the letters.
So to sum up...once these letters are installed, they aren't coming off unless you want them off!

My ride is Arctic White but the rear fascia is painted black.
