Here's mine. Got her in '07 with 845 miles, now just turned over 52k. Every mile driven put a big smile on my face.

Next to my brothers Ron Fellows Z06 before he traded it in.

Next to my brothers ZR1.

I think mine is faster! Lol!

Next to my brothers Ron Fellows #84 (traded it in for the ZR1).

Very nice cars and pictures, thanks for posting. Bought in 07 with 800 miles can't imagine how nice that car must have been and still is.

Interesting, but it's a bit too much for me.

Actually, It's called 50th Anniversary Special Edition Red (Anniversary Red) Shale interior.... Just saying Corrected 3-1-12

I think I'm going to paint mine black to match the smoked plexiglas roof.... nah j/k.

It's the exterior color that got me and that shale interior just classed up the car a bit more. That what hooked me in 2002...
I love the LS1 Motors and have owned one in my '98 Formula Firebird since '97. Unfortunately, I didn't buy the Vette until 2009.

But, I'm living the dream now....

All beautiful AE's here, nice to see what others have done. I bet we've all heard the question a million times, "Wow, what is that color?!"

Nope.

RPO Code 94U 50th Anniversary Red Metallic Paint. The paint has a red tinted clear-coat.

Just sayin...

I was trying to poinit out it called Red(Not Burgandy) and has Shale(Not Oyster) interior.

Yes, I'd have to agree with you on the name, if you go by Chevrolet's code discription and really that is the most accurate imo.

However, for those that might want further information-

Vette Mag:
First and foremost is, of course, RPO 1SC, the 50th Anniversary Special Edition package, which will be offered on both coupes and convertibles, but not on Z06s. The most prominent feature of the 50th Anniversary package is the special paint, an intense red that closely resembles an old-fashioned candy-apple red when applied over a heavily metallic-gold base. The color, aptly named Anniversary Red, really needs to be seen to be appreciated. Thankfully, it is definitely NOT a Cadillac Red as was rumored. The Anniversary Red, which will be offered only as part of the 50th Anniversary package and only in 2003, is complimented by the 50th-only, one-year-only Shale interior (and matching Shale top on Anniversary convertibles), and champagne painted (very similar in hue to the finish on the optional magnesium wheels) standard five-spoke wheels with 50th emblem center caps. All Anniversary Editions will have unique 50th badges on each front fender, in roughly the same spot as the Z06's fender emblems, embroidered 50th logos on the seatbacks and carpet mats, and new padded door armrests and grips.

Corvette Museum-
A golden tribute
The 50th Anniversary Special Edition, available only during the 2003 model year on coupe and convertible models, is a tribute to a half-century of automotive leadership. It includes special Anniversary Red exterior paint, specific badging, Shale interior and champagne-painted anniversary wheels with special emblems. It also features embroidered badges on the seats and floormats, padded door armrests and grips and the convertible features a Shale top. The package includes Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

Car and Driver-
So the people in charge of planning the Corvette's 50th-Anniversary Special Edition picked a shade of what is currently the most oft-selected Corvette color-red. Not just any bright Porsche Guards Red, mind you, and not the purple-red that proved unexpectedly popular on the 40th-anniversary model. No, this new, one-year-only Anniversary Red is a lustrous burgundy with Xirallic aluminum-oxide flakes floating under a special tinted clear-coat and complemented by special Shale interior trim with anniversary badges and cockpit embroidery.

Plus, I'm not sure about red tinted clear coat. I believe I read smoked clear coat on Chevrolet site somewhere. Some Chev site. Maybe it was this forum though. That what it looks like to me as well. Wonder what a body shop has to do to recreate this color.

Posted later - 3/1/12 1:46p - Found some other good information on the color that might be helpful:

Here are all the manufacturer paint codes for 2003 Anniversary Red
OEM Code 94
Anniversary Red Pearl Tri-coat
Valspar Code R3258/R3488
DeBeer Code 58183
PPG Code 5948/5943
DuPont Code P4727/28
Sherwin-Williams Code 64597
Azko Code GMA03:94
WA Code 820K

I do think it is important to point out that the car we are writting about here is a 50th Anniversary Special Edition car and should not to be confused with all other 2003 Corvettes which a lot of people refer to 50th Anniversary Edition or, 50th Anniversary car.

There has to be distinction between the two or the general public won't see the "Special Edition" car to be anything more than a 2003 corvette.

I'd like those of us that have the car to start pointing that out. I believe that is one of the big reasons our cars get lumped in with a regular 2003 Corvette (50th Anniversary Edition). I so wish Chevrolet hadn't badged the 2003 Corvette as a 50th Anniversary Car. It just confuses people.

Would it be possible for the OP to retitle this post as Show us your 50th Anniversary Special Edition (Red) Corvettes? I think that would clear up some confusion.

Sorry for getting off track... Now back to the original thread ....

Cool! Just printed mine off for inclusion in my Corvette's binder. I've got the window sticker the factory invoice, and all of the stickers and tags that came with it in document protectors inside a 3" binder.
