My calipers were painted red when I bought my 99 coupe.
The brackets were NOT painted and I have always wondered why the previous guy would not have painted the brackets at the same time.
I bought the Duplicolor Caliper kit in red and plan on painting the caliper brackets to match the calipers when I change my brake rotors (to the drilled and slotted rotors from brakemotive and ceramic pads) Hopefully the two will match as I am not sure what caliper paint he used.
Give me your opinions and pictures of painted caliper brackets.

In my opinion the Calipers look best painted red and the brackets black.
I used Dupli-color brush on paint.

Like Mr Bill, I painted my calipers red and brackets black.

I think it also depends on the color of your car. Like some have stated, red caliper with black bracket looks great depending on your car color. Yours being red, I would paint the bracket black to give it a little contrast otherwise it might be too much red. My car is black with red calipers and bracket. I like that look on darker colored cars.

I painted both using translucent blue. Because of the underlying metals the brackets look black and the calipers look blue.
Next time I'll do both in a solid color like red.

I'm painting both brackets and calipers on mine Ford Blue.
There's a couple "work in progress" pics in my wheel thread, but the car is still in the air with all the guts out of it.

Probably would look good...I just wouldn't be able to bring myself to putting anything with any Ford association on my Chevy! Lol!

I'm thinking painting the brkts and calipers to match. I think it will make the calipers appear larger like a big brake kit. I also plan to do them to match the car (Navy Blue). Something a bit different and I never cared for too many colors combined. Blue car, Black interior and top, Chrome wheels...that's good with me.
