Exactly... Didn't think it would be an issue since this is a non technical c5 related discussion.

My wife and I were at Sonic for the 1/2 price 44oz Diet Coke with real cherry syrup. When I tried to put the straw in the cup it would not go in. So I pushed harder. The straw deflected of the frozen chunk off ice and through the lower side of the cup. The Coke flowed all over my wife and the freshly detailed interior then downs the outside of the door as she held it out the window to let it finish draining. My wife, the cup holder and ash tray were all swimming in that sticky mess. But the staff was nice and offered a napkin and another drink!

This is the exact same thing I think about where I live. Most people give me crap because my corvette is well taken care of and in very nice shape. What they don't realize is the farmers pickup they are driving costs at least three times what mine did before the flatbed and bail spike additions to it.

They can easily get $50k tied up into a very "Basic" everyday driver. In my opinion, $50k would buy one hell of a C5.
I have a friend with a DMC "Marty!" Delorian that picked his up super cheap too, and everyone gives him crap too.

I think the fact is, most people just look at what a brand new Corvette costs and don't know enough to know much about them. The same can be said about BMW cars... if you look, you can pick a good one for pretty cheap.

So no eating or drinking in the Corvette.

That must rule out sex during that time of the month.

We eat in all our cars, and if something does get spilled, we clean it up. With what most on here think, they're not worth nothing anyways so why keep it imaculate when you ain't going to get _hit out of it when you sell. The next owner ain't going to know I ate in it, nor drove it in the rain all the time.

I also had this happen to me. My fiancee and I had lunch, being diet minded, she ordered bottle sparkling water. Of course she didn't finish it. So as we were walking shopping the streets of Martinez, she asked me to hold the 3/4 bottle of sparkling water. I did, I held it, bumped it, I guess it was pretty much shaken up.

As we ended, we got into the black C5, she said, "Boy it's hot", and opened the bottle to take a nice cool drink... Yea, FIZZZZZZZZZZ, BAM, BOOM.... I had an explosion of sparkling water spray all over her, me, the dash, everywhere. The shocked look on my face was priceless, we laughed a few minutes later but, that one moment, if looks could kill, I would be in jail now... It cleaned up pretty well and YEA, no more drinking in the vette, a rule by HER...I love her....

Don't eat in the car but have been known to stop at a Wendy's and when in Wall NJ gotta do the "Circus"; at least when they are open for the summer season.

No bad fast food experience in the car, but I'm not concerned about eating in the car. If something spills, a quick wipe up is done or I'll clean it up when I get home if its a bigger spill. I'm just very careful when I eat and try not to drop stuff all over the car.

I had just bought the 04 vert and wife had a bag of pretzels and spilled the whole bag between the seats , god I'm a waxer but we laughed for a while and we still find it funny when we find one or two leftovers, I finally removed the seats and cleaned it all up. It happens. Just a car

But, I won't eat in any of my cars regardless. Hell, I won't even go to P/U any kind of cooked food in my vehicles. Seems like the smell lingers forever and I just can't stand it.
...same here. On the rare occasion, we use the wife's Lexus or my 89 Mazda.
