I'm usually riding solo so I always do mine by myself. I'm 5'11 so maybe that helps? I guess it could be difficult if you are shorter and possibly have shorter arms.
1) Pop the hatch first and have it open all the way open
2) Roll down both windows
3) Pop all three latches
4) Standing on the driver's side, simply use your wingspan to reach across the top to the passenger side with your right hand
5) Grab both the driver's side and the passenger side at the same time and wiggle loose
6) Pull it over towards you then mount in the back

That was one of the closest calls I have ever had - nearly dropped my top the first time I tried to remove it in the sun. Somehow managed not to drop it, but my hands were tender for a while. White cotton gloves sure help.

I'm a female owner, and I can take the tops off. The solid top is quite a bit lighter than the lexan top.
Make sure you have a plan, and open the hatch first! Other posters have given you some good info.

Gotta say that I have dropped the top twice. once because I did not think about how hot it gets sitting in the sun in 90+ degree weather. the first time one of the prongs scratched the drivers side window trim, the second time one of the prongs punctured the top of the console cover.
the second drop, the top just slipped from my hands, the down side of a smooth shiny point job.
You can remove and replace the top by yourself, but I strongly recommend that you do it the first few times with assistance so you can get a sense of the weight and learn how to align the top for replacement. use of gloves may help but make sure they are not slippery on the top.
have fun... just remove and replace with care, and don't rush it.... like I did.

I always do it solo and here's how I do it:
1) Pop the hatch first and have it open all the way open
2) Roll down both windows
3) Pop all three latches
4) Open the drivers door and sit down in the drivers seat. From the inside reach up and carefully push the top straight up just a few inches. Then turn it about a 1/4 of a turn and gently set it back down so that its resting at an angle on the top of the car.
5) Carefully get back out and lift the top up from the underside just like a pizza so you aren't touching the top if its hot.
6) Pull it over towards you then mount in the back. Secure it in its place, shut the hatch and now you can enjoy driving topless.

It's easier when you're by yourself than it is when someone trys to help.

I'm a little shorter so it was a little tuff the 1st time, especially coming form t-tops. But I Kinda use my head as a balance point in the middle and wingspan on each side, from the inside to lift off.
The 1st time i tried it, I caught a huge gust of wind.....damn near went hang gliding!! Be careful with windy days...Back bends from a standing position are no fun!!! Lol
